  2. We need a daily detail of positive cases of Covid-19 instead of a running total

Could the Health Department update Daily Covid-19 cases instead of a running total as some people have recovered.
It seems that this data could easily be done since the Department of health is giving daily updates and the system is in place already.

  3. Add one more metric on daily basis: number of new cases per 1 test completed.

Number of new cases per 1 test completed will easy imagine the real level of spreading the disease.
It may be shown in the square with “today new cases” in next line in parentheses.
Or - even better- in “ Confirmed COVID-19
Cases by Day” graph add one more bar with different color to every day - Number of the tests completed.

Thank you for the very informative page.

  5. (Covid Database) Question about daily death total discrepancies

Why do the daily bar graph death totals not agree with the summary box "number of new deaths" totals"? Thank you!

  6. I'd like to see the average number of deaths compared with the current number of deaths. That difference in number would be those that died

I'd like to see the average number of deaths compared with the current number of deaths. That difference in number would be those that died from the virus, those that didn't seek medical help because of the virus, those that died of something else, but covid complicated matters, etc. Break out all those numbers, and let people see that data. Right now, people are parsing the data and they don't know what they are doing. If you lay it out, with a confidence level in your analysis, at least we'd have a general number to work from. I'm sure you'd…

  7. Your zipcode map doesn't convey much information when the entire map is red.

Change the color ranges. The first four colors cover only <=200 cases. There's no way to determine zipcodes that are hardest hit without going through dozens of red ones. There are at least 2 zips over 2k now. Legend should be more like:

    0-500
    501-1000
    1001-1500
    1501-2000
    2001-2500
    Greater than 2500

This legend will work for the next 6 wks hopefully. Then you will have to update again.

  8. Change back to the old MMJ application system

The rollout of the new application system has been riddled with problems. The processing time of applications has increased. Many patients are struggling to access their portals because of errors in the data being used by DHS. Hold times on the phones have increased. When speaking to anyone within the office, everyone regrets the changes were made. The easiest way to fix this terrible rollout is to resume accepting applications through the old system. In less than 8 weeks there will be no more renewal applications to process for a year. Those are the patients who are causing the most…

  9. Historical Data for ILI and pneumonia

Previously, we were able to access historical data on ILI and other causes for hospitalization. Now, they're gone. Data is irrelevant without historical context.

  14. Provide Data Discussion Each Day

I used to work as a statistical modeler, and I found that presentation of data itself is incomplete - a discussion is generally needed and very helpful. To this end, is there any way ADHS could provide a daily discussion of the data on the site - for example, the numbers are lower (or higher) today because .... or this may be due to ....

Thanks for providing this website. A lot of useful information here!

  16. new method of testingfor corona

when people go for a test, maybey one person in the car is sick. but does not show symtoms. now car is full of friends, they sit for hours with the windows up. maybey the one person tests positive this week. but next week the three others will now test positive. i think testing should be done at a place where people can come individually, and be tested. maybey a place like state farm. the air really moves through the building and people will stay cool.

  17. Additional statistics

Thank you for the daily posting of COVID-19 data. While it is helpful, I’m always wondering about trends and perspective.

For example, as you point out in footnotes, Confirmed COVID-19 Cases by Day is difficult to interpret because of the variance in reporting. A graph showing a moving average would smooth out the day-to-day variances. Whether it is a 3, 5, or 7-day moving average you could best figure out because you know when have 99% of the the new cases reported for any given day.

Reporting the death rate by age group would also be helpful. Incorporating chronic medical…
