  1. Please incorporate a 7 days moving average graph in you COVID-19 reporting.

Please incorporate a 7 days moving average graph to make the data more comprehensible. Georgia uses one in their reporting. You can see an example here: https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-19-daily-status-report

  2. The state should stay in "stay at home" mode. The universities especially should be online only.

The last thing we need is people coming here from all over the country and gathering in large groups. The increase in taxes collected will not cover the cost of treatment!

  3. excellent experience

The best one of all the states. Simple, concise easy to read and understand with useful metrics like that % of positive results.
Take a bow for a job well done.

  4. Keep this up to date please

The Covid metrics dashboard is super useful, but it's data is now a month old. While Arizona is doing great in handling it, we aren't completely out of the woods. It would be nice to see when/if we are starting to approach the benchmarks again.

  5. Incorrect Dashboard Data/Color Representation

On https://www.azdhs.gov/preparedness/epidemiology-disease-control/infectious-disease-epidemiology/index.php#novel-coronavirus-schools if you look at, for example, Yavapai County you will see that the first & third benchmarks are in green and accurately showing data. However, the second benchmark is not showing accurate data. If you look at the chart on page three here: https://www.azdhs.gov/documents/preparedness/epidemiology-disease-control/infectious-disease-epidemiology/novel-coronavirus/covid-19-safely-return-to-in-person-instruction.pdf you will see what the colors of the benchmarks should be. Notice that if the benchmark is between 5-10% it should be colored yellow. In Yavapai County we have a 7.8% listed but it is showing as red instead of yellow.

This incorrect color can cause incorrect assumptions as to whether or not schools…

  6. Please include a comparison of the excess deaths in 2020 to the excess death in 2019.

Each year the rate of deaths is reported without regard to tests or cause. Because Arizona testing couldn't possibly detect all COVID cases or COVID deaths, it is important to see how the overall death rate in 2020 is different from previous years. This will give us a better handle on the size of the epidemic. We need this to monitor the success of our interventions.

  8. Provide COVID cases, deaths at each nursing home in running totals for each facility, along with ownership.

Other states provide very detailed stats on Nursing home cases, deaths, rates per facility population and staff. Please provide that information here.

  9. List recovered cases in the COVID 19 cases.

I would like to know how many recovered cases of COVID 19 cases there are in Arizona. I know the first case at ASU recovered in February but I don't see it listed in the data.

  10. Data in the graph COVID-19 Deaths by Date of Death is wrong

The daily counts of deaths shown in the graph do not match news reports. For example, ADHS reported zero COVID deaths on 4/26, and 18 COVID deaths on 4/27 -- neither of these statistics are reflected in the graph. The NY Times has a similar graph that does include these stats at https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/arizona-coronavirus-cases.html.

    ADHS, please review your data!

  11. Open the Country

I appreciate the update, however you're never going to win the war against Germs. These ridiculous mandates have done nothing scientifically or medically to prevent the spread of any known virus and have in fact increased the paranoia and fear through the Country and the World. I stand with the Group that has filed a Class Action Lawsuit against all the Medical Experts and the Government Officials that have endorsed these Shelter In Place mandates having no scientific foundation or recordable incident rates to justify the idea that a Pandemic is upon us and the world. Even the methods by…

  12. YCCHS vs ADHS Positivity Rates

I am contacting ADHS because I am seeing is a significant discrepancy between the COVID-19 data reported by YCCHS versus by ADHS. Specifically, YCCHS's total positivity rate is based on all diagnostic testing whereas ADHS's total positivity rate is calculated only from the electronically-reported tests. The calculations below show that the tests not electronically reported do have a sizable impact on the positivity rate.

    YCCHS Tests Reported = 44380
    YCCHS Positive Tests = 2628
    YCCHS’s Positivity Rate = 2628 / 44380 = 5.9%

ADHS "Tests Reported Electronically" = 37691
ADHS Positive "Tests Reported Electronically" = 1789
    ADHS’s Positivity Rate = 1789 / 37691 = 4.8%

    Number of…

  13. This COVID-19 benchmark data is awful! It’s 3 weeks old!

If AZ officials expect school districts to abide by these so-called benchmarks, the least you could deign yourselves to do is to give us up-to-date information! As of today, your dashboard says that Cochise county has not met the 2nd benchmark. BUT, the last data point is from JULY 19TH! Today is the 8th of August - just under 3 weeks later. What the heck?!! How dare anyone in AZ leadership expect that we make decisions based on old/bad data like this?! Bologna like this is part of the problem with people not trusting Government leadership. You aren’t giving us…

  15. Is it criminal to knowingly spread infection in Arizona that causes another persons illness or death?

President Trump was in close contact with people in NJ when he knew he had been in contact with Hope Hicks who had close contact with him and had tested positive for COVID. As he was having mild symptoms himself after contact with Ms. Hicks, and failed to isolate after contact with Hope Hicks he has committed reckless endangerment of people on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Isn't contact tracing about accountability? If NJ knew the circumstances of President Trump's visit, would he have been prevented from holding the events? Would he or anyone else in similar circumstances be prevented…

  17. covid data

there seems to be a correlation: while percentage of positive pcr tests remains mostly unchanged, days with testing shortages show less new covid positive per day.

the number of tests is related to new cases per day.

news says az is having less new cases, but fails to mention az is testing less people and has the same positive rate.

is Arizona seeing less cases? or are we really just seeing less people tested?

  20. The right side of the graphs cut off and it doesn't allow for scrolling to see the rest of it.

On the county specific back-to-school metrics, the weeks that matter most are cut off.
