Please include a comparison of the excess deaths in 2020 to the excess death in 2019.
Each year the rate of deaths is reported without regard to tests or cause. Because Arizona testing couldn't possibly detect all COVID cases or COVID deaths, it is important to see how the overall death rate in 2020 is different from previous years. This will give us a better handle on the size of the epidemic. We need this to monitor the success of our interventions.

Can't help you with AZ, but enter 'excessive deaths' in CDC search and you'll find charts for entire US. Shows we are above line, but no longer "the world is going to end" above. And sorry, but so many things have been done so shoddily, there is no way to know what interventions worked and what ones were nonsense. Correlation is not the same as causation. Opening then closing the bars was most likely the cause of the spike and decline in past 6 weeks, but everyone is going to be told it was because of masks. Maricopa Board cites a study to justify mask wearing, assuming no one will read it. I did. (Aiello 2012)“Statistically significant findings were not observed for the face mask only group when compared to the control group. ...no substantial reductions... ...did not provide a benefit...” Read this comment fast - it will probably be censored soon.
