  1. Covid chart and page

Why does the Covid chart show 2 deaths on August 25 and then a total of 104 deaths in a larger labeled area. This is confusing. I read the asterisk and still don't understand why the difference. What else are you including in the larger total? Is it probable cases and the 2 is confirmed? Please clarify.

  2. up date the dashboard

When is the #2 Benchmark going to be updated? The last update was August 2. We would like to get our lives back and this is the last benchmark we need to meet in AZ to potentially do that.

  3. make the graphics printable

The charts should be printable, it looks like you are intentionally trying to hide the statistics. What number of deaths have co-morbidity issues? Right now that number appears to percentage of cases.
Finally why are we shutting down many businesses?
Why don't you tell people what vitamins to take to bolster their immune systems?

  4. COVID = Provide enough data to calculate Minimal/Moderate/Substantial

It is unfair for AZ ADHS to have data internally and not present externally to calculate benchmarks for opening Gyms and Bars. It's possible (with difficulty) to pick out the number of cases for a week period but not possible to see percent positivity and covid like illness for a week period. It is unhelpful to the extreme to show only positive cases accumulated since the start of testing. If the ADHS is going to make decisions based on the data you must provide a way of third party checking - otherwise it's a star chamber.

  5. Positivity Rating is a circular metric

Positivity Rating is a circular metric. If more people without covid happen to get tested it will go down. Flu season will drive this metric down even if the rate of covid were to remain the same. This metric should be removed or replaced with one that actually indicates whether schools should open.

It would also be nice if this were updated more regularly. It's August 24th and the last update was August 2nd for Maricopa county.

  6. provide a print opition for COVID-19 dashboard

Schools are being asked to use the dash board data to inform reopening decisions. It would be nice to print date specific outcomes by county. The data format does not print legibly. Everything is forced up in the upper left corner.

  8. Include both PCR and Serology in #2 benchmark for schools

Why do you use both PCR and Serology numbers for the total case in the #1 benchmark for schools, but only (what appears to be) PCR when for the #2 benchmark for schools (the % positive)? This seems odd to not be using the same data for both benchmarks.

  10. Are all the deaths shown from just Covid-19 or all deaths

So how does anyone KNOW that the numbers of deaths and confirmations presented just from having COVID-19?

  12. Thank you! Good job!

I submitted a suggestion that we needed to know the "normal" hospital bed utilization in order for the graph to be useful.

I have no idea if my suggestion spurred your change, but I just wanted you to know that I think the addition of Covid patient bed usage was brilliant!!

I have been making professional and church presentations for 40 years and have always had an eye for good graphics. Adding the Covid bed usage was a very good call, on your team's part.

  16. More information on COVID-19 data dashboard

Are there explanations of what the data dashboard categories mean? For example, do inpatient beds include ICU beds or do you need to add the two together? Do the confirmed cases by day include serology tests? In other words, are the antibody numbers added to the active test numbers? In that case, my wife and I would be double-counted. A paragraph on what each data category means / includes would be very helpful.

  18. COVID percent positive as return to learn benchmark

Hello! Is the 5% percent positive indicator for minimal community spread (green zone for schools using the benchmarks to return to in-person learning) still valid if the demand for tests is low? Was ADHS expecting more people to be using our supply of tests? I think we had capacity for 60,000 per day; if only a fraction are being used (6,000 yesterday) and by mostly symptomatic people, wouldn’t that make the percent positive higher than if all were being used?) These benchmarks have significant implications for our students - if an unexpected lack of demand for testing changes their validity,…

I am very upset to learn that maricopa's health dept's benchmarks for getting rid of the masks are impossible. Zero cases or 40% vaccine is ridiculous. You are taking away our FREEDOM to be adults and choose. I have yet to read any study in the support of masks except in a hospital setting. Your data is completely hyped and you should start looking at Twitter @hold2llc who is a data analyst taking your raw data and actually putting out the right numbers. You're department is a disgrace to the scientific community with an agenda of fear and panic. I…
