  1. Make raw data available

I am a programmer and would like to view raw data for daily hospitalizations, total tests, and positive tests I am trying to show a daily percentage of positive tests over total tests so that the daily rise or fall can be viewed.

  2. Don't advise wearing a mask without including the CDC guidelines.

Tests have shown COVID-19 alive in masks for seven days. CDC and Mayo Clinic clearly advise NOT to touch the mask while wearing. If you do, immediately sanitize hands. Otherwise the pathogens transfer to the hands and then to anything touched. ()https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/cloth-face-covering.pdf

  4. COVID19 Hospitalization numbers don't add up correctly

Please check the data you are providing for hospitalizations, covid specific inpatients, and covid discharge. None of the numbers presented add up to make any sense. For the past several weeks you have reported hospitlizations numbers lower than the discharge number yet somehow the total (current?) inpatient number increases? Is the covid inpatient tab a cummulative total? I doubt it is because somedays it decreases. The data should be easy to interpret. Current hospitalizations = Previous day total + new hospilizations - discharges. Currently, your data does not pass this simple math equation.

  6. Show hospital bed use/available as a stacked bar graph rather than percentage graph

The way hospital bed usage and availability beds is shown, as percentages available/unavailable, doesn't reflect on the fact that the total number of beds has been changing with time. People can find that information by hovering over a bar for a particular date, but it is not immediately obvious how the total number of beds has changed over time. If this was displayed with the number of beds used on the bottom bar, and the number of available beds on the top bar, it would be immediately apparent how the total number of beds grew and when.

    For instance, the…

  7. 2-3 Years of Hospital and ICU Bed Data

It would be helpful to compare this year's data against previous years data for the same months. This would give more context to the current situation. If hospital and ICU beds are normally only 60% used in previous years (March thru June) then there is more reason for concern. Also an overlay of COVID-related bed usage against total bed usage would also be helpful.

  8. Show the change in the categories from the previous day as well

    COVID-19 incremental graphs
For the positive tests by day of test, please show how many more positive results were added to each "day of test" bin, so we can see the growth too.

  9. Your graph for number of ICU beds in use and availble.

During COVID we should see past use of ICU beds used/available as well as how many are being used by COVID patients vs other patients. This ends up being misleading as the rate you state for COVID patients is low, but ICU bed use is high. Maybe this is actually due to other patient needs and not due to COVID.

  11. Night-time COVID Testing Hours

    RE: COVID-19 Testing Site Hours
It is much too hot and dangerous to be in line for hours in the daytime peak Arizona heat. I am a senior and have an old car without air conditioning. If I have COVID symptoms and/or am not feeling well, I definitely would not be able to sit in line without air conditioning for hours. Please remember that many low-income folks don't have cars or their cars don't have adequate air conditioning. Not everyone has family or friends to drive them to a test site.
Suggestion: At least for the hot summer months, make…

  12. Your zipcode map doesn't convey much information when the entire map is red.

Change the color ranges. The first four colors cover only <=200 cases. There's no way to determine zipcodes that are hardest hit without going through dozens of red ones. There are at least 2 zips over 2k now. Legend should be more like:

    0-500
    501-1000
    1001-1500
    1501-2000
    2001-2500
    Greater than 2500

This legend will work for the next 6 wks hopefully. Then you will have to update again.

  13. Severity of Symptoms and Overreaction

This whole COVID-19 is being blown out of proportion, the vast majority of people are not having life threatening symptoms. I have heard from many "experts" that social distancing is the opposite of what we should be doing to combat COVID-19. We need herd immunity! Why are the over 99% being asked to social distance when less than 1% are having severe issues. Of course we want to protect them, but at what cost. We have had much more severe virus threats in the past, why are we shutting the down because of this! The high risk and elderly can…

  14. Get Masks

I just watched Governor Ducey on TV and he said older people could order masks at this site but it does not exist: azhealth.gov/getmasks . I have done several searches on your website and cannot find it. Please advise. My husband and I are in our 80s and have weakened immune system so are very susceptible to getting the virus.

  17. falling PCR test count?

The number of PCR tests reported in Pima County in the laboratory Testing section DECLINED by almost 22,000 between the 7/25 & 7/26 reports. Is this a data error or is there another explantion?

    Thanks

  19. This COVID-19 benchmark data is awful! It’s 3 weeks old!

If AZ officials expect school districts to abide by these so-called benchmarks, the least you could deign yourselves to do is to give us up-to-date information! As of today, your dashboard says that Cochise county has not met the 2nd benchmark. BUT, the last data point is from JULY 19TH! Today is the 8th of August - just under 3 weeks later. What the heck?!! How dare anyone in AZ leadership expect that we make decisions based on old/bad data like this?! Bologna like this is part of the problem with people not trusting Government leadership. You aren’t giving us…
