Night-time COVID Testing Hours
RE: COVID-19 Testing Site Hours
It is much too hot and dangerous to be in line for hours in the daytime peak Arizona heat. I am a senior and have an old car without air conditioning. If I have COVID symptoms and/or am not feeling well, I definitely would not be able to sit in line without air conditioning for hours. Please remember that many low-income folks don't have cars or their cars don't have adequate air conditioning. Not everyone has family or friends to drive them to a test site.
Suggestion: At least for the hot summer months, make testing available during night-time hours between sunset and sunrise; alternately, extend the hours of testing to 3-4 AM to 10-11 PM. This may require extra security to keep Arizonans safe, but it would be a small price to pay for our health and safety.
