Providing a disservice to the public regarding Covid
Greetings, my name is Mark Becker and I am an Inventor. I have invented a PPE item and thus spent 50 plus hours researching information directly from the CDC website and other EXPERTS regarding the transmission of Covid. So please take the following seriously!! It’s CLEAR by now that larger “respiratory droplets ” is BY FAR the biggest risk of transmission.
STOP pushing information that harms the **** public!! We need to STOP giving the impression that face shields are a less effective option! Many of them ARE NOT!! By doing so, we are inadvertently providing a disservice to people’s…1 vote -

Clarification needed
The covid demographic ata on males females is confusing because you have red male female grey and fed and grey yes no that doesn't distinguish whether yes no applys to males and females specifically to gender, and does not clearly break down males females over 65 who tested positive as to male female with and without pre-existing condition

COVID Vaccine Administration - Making It User Friendly
I have more than 3 decades experience doing mass distributions of relief materials overseas. The key to making it orderly and user friendly is distribution design.
My initial design suggestions include:
Conduct a highly promoted mass registration based on census, voter and tax rolls.
Allow people to identify their vaccination cohort such as by age or conditions.
Let people know their confirmed cohort, vaccination location and estimated month of vaccination as early as possible.
As time gets closer, update via TV, IMs, etc., until you can provide a day and 2 hour time window for the actual vaccination.

Your chart on hospital beds use by non covid patients and those used by covids ... shows that the data it is not independent of each other.
Are playing with the data, making it look like there are less covid patients than there are?

Why was the number of cases in 85009 cut almost in half this past week. I was following the increases for it for months. This is strange!
Just like the election, now we have Covid reporting anomalies. What's up?

If AZ is hoping to covid immunize as many AZ residents as possible, it would be wise to specifically share its distribution plan.
Please tell us ahead of time what we need to do to get in line for the Covid vaccine, what documentation we will need, etc. If AZ wants the highest participation possible, this information should be seen on all local news stations and newspapers on a regular basis.

Alternative COVID treatments
Is there a team looking into alternative treatment options? Or are we just waiting for the FDA and NIH to come up with a solution? How are we going to treat individuals who don’t have the vaccine yet, or it was ineffective? I’ve seen good data on Ivermectin. https://ivmmeta.com/ I’m not a medical expert, but the data presented looks like it would be worth pursuing.

Is it possible to aggregate test stats to an individual?
Tests performed include people being tested for the first time and others who've been tested multiple times, for various reasons. Without aggregating tests to a specific person, the stats make it look like a larger percentage of the population has been tested than it has. I have now had 3 tests. all negative. I had a friend who got covid and had about 8 tests before he finally got a negative test.

Mini-faceshields are not acceptable substitutes for cloth face covering
The mini-face shields which only cover a portion of the face should not be allowed as a substitute for a cloth face covering that is supposed to cover mouth and nose. The CDC does not endorse a FULL faces shield as equivalent or suitable. These, are even less effective, especially considering people will be at various positions in a gym and they move when an individual talks. My gym is currently permitting these. Gyms are not exactly low-risk and permitting these, with rising cases, seems absurd. I have complained to gym management and they advise mini-shields are permitted by adhs…

Storage of face masks
Recently I saw a commercial regarding storage of face masks. People were told to store their masks in a plastic bag. I take issue with that. Retaining moisture in the mask would act as a petri dish for breeding bacteria. If the mask is going to be reused, I suggestd that it be exposed to the sun's UV rays for drying and sterilization. I offer this suggestion as a retired biology teacher.
