  4. Public smoking

    The government could make so much money if you implemented a no public smoking law. Each person that gets caught smoking in public would be a $1,000 fine for first offense. Only places people should be smoking is in their private homes. Smoking near other people with the second hand smoke is giving everyone health issues. Plus, doing this could save millions of lives and give the government more income to fix roads and things that need to be done.   5. How can I verify cards older than Feb 2017?

    I have authorization as law enforcement to verify a card. The current one I am checking pre-dates the changes in Feb 2017, so there are only 19 characters on the card, not 20+. The system is not allowing for verification of the number because it is too short.

  8. Ban opiates, period!

    Opiates should be banned from mfg and Rx. When swamp has been cleaned of allopath reactive medicine dominance and collusion with Pharma and Insurance industries,society might awaken and popularize functional medicine. Young MDs are swarming to "functional" seminars.

  10. The other side of the story

    I sympathize with the many issues of addiction and have worked as a firefighter/EMT for 5 years, and spent 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry. While the voice for addiction is loud, and on every news channel nightly, the plight for those of us with a need for these medications, is never mentioned.

  17. Give a time frame for opioid statistics

    For example, the website lists 280 deaths from opioids - but is that over a week, a month, several months? I assume it's since the state started tracking, but when was that? Data may be more helpful if presented with the time frame, along with the average number per week/month/other.

    It was extremely thoughtful of you to share this information for families in need.
    I have a special needs brother and have a blog for families with children with autism and I know how much this extra effort means to families with special needs kids.
