tell us where we can move
outside the 25 mile rule
1 voteThe 25-mile rule was set by the voters. The actual boundaries will be determined by where the licensed dispensaries are operating. At this time, there is no public information about that.

Hi, I called today to ask the difference between the different format (PDF, Zipped, etc.), but no one I spoke to there knew what to say.
Maybe have an IT person available to answer such questions.

Listen the first rime around when someone files a Complaint, not later on, when it is too late to do anything about it
It has been 18 years! This should have been "cleaned up" a long time ago!
1 voteIf you’d like to reply with information about the type of complaint you are referring (please do not include any personal information) we’ll be able to route this appropriately. Thank you.

Searching for an Externship in Phx AZ
This probably has nothing to do with this topic but I only have a week to complete my project of searching for an Externship. Thank you for your time.
To whom it may concern:
I am currently a student at Arizona College, Glendale Arizona, attaining my Diploma as a Health Information Specialist. I have completed classroom learning and now in process of entering my extern/internship session. I am searching for an extern site that is not affiliated with Arizona College.
In order to graduate, I must complete 200 hours a minimum of 32 hrs a week, preferably 40 hours. I…

Suggestions for Job opportunities for pre-licensed Dr's in AZ
Dear Mr. Humble or Az Gov,
I have a dear friend that is stuck in the paperwork shuffle of 1500+ monthly board certifications to be able to practice medicine in Scottsdale, Az. I don't know much about this system, but I do know that it is a very slow process to get licensed here. He has already been a senior resident + in Missouri and recently moved here (2 months ago) and seems to be struggling while waiting for his license approval which could again be passed up in the quarterly review due to the large amount of apps. I…
2 votesThe law does not give the Department of Health Services jurisdiction over the Medical Board. Your question should be addressed to them or the legislature.

Patient Rights regarding Dispensary Treatment
Many "Patients" are being treated like lower class citizens, by dispensary Staff. We are not Customers/Clients/ Consumers we are Medical Patients. Staff needs to have training in "Patient" Compassionate Care. NOT JUST Card Carriers who smoke marijuana. All the information you have is only about opening a BIG MONEY MAKING Business to grow and dispense marijuana.. STOP the Cheech & Chong Atmosphere Patients HAVE RIGHTS please address them for the public & as a reference for Patients and Dispensaries alike. Many of us are being ABUSED and mistreated.

Rename HCTC for children as Therapeutic Foster Care
I direct an HCTC program for youth in Maricopa County, for Christian Family Care Agency. We have eleven therapeutic foster homes. I would like to suggest that we stop calling the program HCTC, and call it Therapeutic Foster Care, as the rest of the nation does. Arizona is possibly the only state that uses a somewhat cryptic name, more appropriate to dealing with adult Developmentally Disabled, than with children in a homelike setting.
2 votesThank you for your comments. Your opinion is very important to us and so is the topic. We’ll take this into consideration as we move forward in the world of therapeutic foster care. Feel free to always share your thoughts with us.

Search of AZ Birth & Death records is unresponsive.
System is unresponsive with new updates
2 votesArizona is a closed record state. Only certain people are able to obtain copies of birth and death certificates. We do have an excellent website for death records that are old enough to be released: http://genealogy.az.gov/

Need more guidance on whether a hospice needs a behavioral health license now
Please provide more direction regarding the potential of hospice agencies and licensure as a behavioral health provider.
1 voteHospice does not need a behavioral health license. Behavioral health care is part of the Hospice delivery model and built into the policy and procedures, nursing and assessments of care. If you have further questions about this, feel free to call the Office of Medical Licensing at (602) 364-2536 or online at

SNF requirements for TB Screening, specifically the age of the chest x-ray?
Your article R9-10-407 is confusing and is mis-interpreted in my SNF. Is the chest x-ray good for 6 months or 12 months? Is this changing in October 2013? Thank you for your response in advance.
1 voteR9-10-112 Tuberculosis Screening
Individual required to be screened must on or before providing services show evidence of freedom from TB by a documented negative Mantoux skin test or other screening test i.e. check x-ray completed within 6 months of start date for providing services.
If an individual has a positive mantoux test or other screening test i.e. chest x-ray, a written statement from a medical practitioner that the individual is free from infectious TB is provided and is dated within 6 months before start date for providing service.
The every 12 months after the date of the most recent screening test or written statement, there must be documentation of a negative Mantoux skin test or screening i.e. chest X-ray administered within 30 days before the anniversary date of the most recent screening test or written statement.
If the individual has a positive Mantoux or screening test, then they need a…

Can you access informatinon on your card online? Totals purchased?
How can I keep track of my card use?
1 voteThis is currently not a function that patients can access from our website for this. If you visit a dispensary, they are required to check the validity of your card. They are also able to see the last 14 and 60 calendar days of your purchases

WIC
I would also express my suggestion on WIC recipients. When they sign up for WIC, they are supposed to be given a book that describes
what they can and cannot get. I believe that when they are granted
WIC, they should HAVE to attend a class on reading the book and UNDERSTANDING the book, as to what they can and cannot get. I work in retail and deal with NON English speaking people on WIC all the time. They ALL tell me they did NOT receive a booklet or instructions, on what they can and cannot get. I have repeatedly…1 voteThank you for your suggestion for the Arizona WIC Program. You are right, WIC clients are given a copy of the Arizona WIC Programs Food List. This booklet provides the foods that can be purchased with WIC benefits for the Arizona WIC Program, the Navajo Nation WIC Program, and the InterTribal Council of Arizona, Inc. WIC Program. There are some new changes in the WIC Food List that were effective on July 1, 2013. You can find the new booklet on the Arizona WIC program website, www.AzWIC.gov . Click on the box for “WIC Foods”. On this website, clients can also access videos to learn more about WIC foods.
Since you work in retail, there are additional resources available and a special section of the Arizona WIC Program website just for Vendors. Authorized WIC vendors receive a special version of the WIC Food List that matches the information for clients…

Worst States in the US
Hey there, I wanted to reach out to you with a suggestion for content on your site. I noticed that you had linked to the CDCs STD rates site and thought your readers might like a visual follow-up post: http://www.topmastersinhealthcare.com/state-risks/
I am promoting this new interactive graphic that highlights the best and worst states based on various factors, including sexually transmitted disease rates. I thought perhaps your readers might be interested. The embed code is on the page and all I ask is that you cite the source if you do post it. I can send visitors to your post…
