tell us where we can move
outside the 25 mile rule
1 voteThe 25-mile rule was set by the voters. The actual boundaries will be determined by where the licensed dispensaries are operating. At this time, there is no public information about that.

1 voteIn Arizona, Dispensaries will not be run by the state. You’ll need to check the employment section of the newspapers or online. Good luck with your job search.

Hi, I called today to ask the difference between the different format (PDF, Zipped, etc.), but no one I spoke to there knew what to say.
Maybe have an IT person available to answer such questions.

Listen the first rime around when someone files a Complaint, not later on, when it is too late to do anything about it
It has been 18 years! This should have been "cleaned up" a long time ago!
1 voteIf you’d like to reply with information about the type of complaint you are referring (please do not include any personal information) we’ll be able to route this appropriately. Thank you.

Searching for an Externship in Phx AZ
This probably has nothing to do with this topic but I only have a week to complete my project of searching for an Externship. Thank you for your time.
To whom it may concern:
I am currently a student at Arizona College, Glendale Arizona, attaining my Diploma as a Health Information Specialist. I have completed classroom learning and now in process of entering my extern/internship session. I am searching for an extern site that is not affiliated with Arizona College.
In order to graduate, I must complete 200 hours a minimum of 32 hrs a week, preferably 40 hours. I…

Suggestions for Job opportunities for pre-licensed Dr's in AZ
Dear Mr. Humble or Az Gov,
I have a dear friend that is stuck in the paperwork shuffle of 1500+ monthly board certifications to be able to practice medicine in Scottsdale, Az. I don't know much about this system, but I do know that it is a very slow process to get licensed here. He has already been a senior resident + in Missouri and recently moved here (2 months ago) and seems to be struggling while waiting for his license approval which could again be passed up in the quarterly review due to the large amount of apps. I…
2 votesThe law does not give the Department of Health Services jurisdiction over the Medical Board. Your question should be addressed to them or the legislature.

The Medical Marijuana cards are valid for one year after they are issued. If you are assigned the card on April 24, 2013, it is valid until April 23, 2014.

Patient Rights regarding Dispensary Treatment
Many "Patients" are being treated like lower class citizens, by dispensary Staff. We are not Customers/Clients/ Consumers we are Medical Patients. Staff needs to have training in "Patient" Compassionate Care. NOT JUST Card Carriers who smoke marijuana. All the information you have is only about opening a BIG MONEY MAKING Business to grow and dispense marijuana.. STOP the Cheech & Chong Atmosphere Patients HAVE RIGHTS please address them for the public & as a reference for Patients and Dispensaries alike. Many of us are being ABUSED and mistreated.

Rename HCTC for children as Therapeutic Foster Care
I direct an HCTC program for youth in Maricopa County, for Christian Family Care Agency. We have eleven therapeutic foster homes. I would like to suggest that we stop calling the program HCTC, and call it Therapeutic Foster Care, as the rest of the nation does. Arizona is possibly the only state that uses a somewhat cryptic name, more appropriate to dealing with adult Developmentally Disabled, than with children in a homelike setting.
2 votesThank you for your comments. Your opinion is very important to us and so is the topic. We’ll take this into consideration as we move forward in the world of therapeutic foster care. Feel free to always share your thoughts with us.

Search of AZ Birth & Death records is unresponsive.
System is unresponsive with new updates
2 votesArizona is a closed record state. Only certain people are able to obtain copies of birth and death certificates. We do have an excellent website for death records that are old enough to be released: http://genealogy.az.gov/

Incorrect link on website
Thank you for linking to us from your Arizona Immunization Program page. The link text is "Other Health Resources for Vaccinations" and links to www.cir.org. The link should go to www.211arizona.org or it could go to our health page at www.211arizona.org/health. Thank you for fixing this link.

I am unable to find a place on your web site to report a public health violaton
A house in my neighborhood has a pool that is uncleaned. It is breeding mosquitoes. The address is REMOVED BY ADMIN
1 voteIn Arizona, most public health violations are handled on a county basis. You might want to check with your county health office. a Complete list is available at: http://www.azdhs.gov/diro/LHliaison/countymap.htm

There needs to be a way to correct an application error.
When I reviewed the final PDF copy of my application after I submitted and paid, I discovered that the "caregiver" box had been checked. I don't think I checked that box, but if I did, it was an error. I have tried to find a wasy to report the error, but have only found a phone number that will take a message, and they haven't called back. There is no email address to report an error. Thank you.
1 voteOne of the reasons we created the form on line was so that folks had the ability to make sure their names are spelled correctly, the address is correct and everything is the way they want it. In the User Agreement, applicants are instructed to check all information before saving each page. You may want to use the live chat option on the medical marijuana website. The customer service representatives are familiar with the system and may be able to help you.
Thank you for sharing. -
Medical Marijuana Blog FAQs Page
I posted my idea on your blog but thought I'd also email it directly.
In reading your MMJ blog I've noticed many repetitive Q&As. I suggest consolidating these onto a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page prefacing your Blog.
After readers review the FAQs page they can THEN post blog questions if the FAQ page hasn't answered their questions. You can have a 'canned' response linking them back to the FAQs page if they ask an already answered question.
I realize your position is probably pretty hectic, especially over this program. Having a FAQs page may save you some time to…
1 voteThe blog covers many more topics than medical marijuana so it’s not the correct place for the medical marijuana frequently asked questions page. You are correc that it would be great if people checked the FAQ before posting questions on the Director’s blog.

please will you honor our email requests to change our cultivation status?
you guys wrote, in response to another persons question about changing their cultivation status, "We anticipate that the Medical Marijuana Program online change feature to be available in the next few weeks. In the interim we are honoring requests for individuals that may want to change their cultivation status or to add/designate a caregiver. You may contact us at m2programsupport@azdhs.gov."
I have sent the email but have not gotten any response from the department. I also used your online chat feature today so i could try to confirm that my request is being processed, or at least find out…
1 voteThe online function is now available on the application page of the medical marijuana website. Previous to this we had been making the changes individually – so it took quite a bit of time.
Thank you for your patience,I’m not sure how long it takes to make the change and issue a new card. I will find out and respond shortly. As far as the length of time it took for someone to respond on the chat function, I will look into that as well.
We are trying to be helpful in this situation because we understand Qualifying Patients may have planned on having dispensaries around this fall. -
The AZDHS shuld be monitoring Medical Marijuana Doctors Clinics.
There are Marijuana Doctor Clinics in Arizona that advertise patients do not need recent medical records to qualify for the program, as well as many doctors that will certify anyone with a $150 payment. Many patients that now have a MMJ card or a recent recomendation from a doctor may not be entitled to them. This is blatent disregard of the of the Arizona State Law both by the patient and the recommending doctor. How does the AZDHS plan to police both the doctors and clinics that break the law?
1 voteADHS does not have any authority over doctors. If they are doing what you say, you should report them to the medical board that licenses them. ADHS works closely with the boards to try to keep the medical marijuana program, medical. Thanks for your help in this process.

Close these so called Marijuana Clubs down immediately!!!
First of all, what are these so called Marijuana Clubs all about. I'll tell you, its a scam to sell marijuana for $ 25.00 per gram under the disguise that members are donating the pot to the club...............and if you pay $ 25.00 to join and $ 75.00 to get in the back room you'll get 3grams of pot........That is nothing more than a drug dealing operation (at this time). And obviously, the pot these clubs are selling (donating, yeah right) must have been "acquired" illegally!!!! That's right POLICE, take notice!!!! It takes 4 months (120 days) to grow marijuana…
1 voteThe law passed by voters gives the Department limited oversight of caregivers and patients. The Attorney General’s office is looking into the legality of the clubs.
To Miguel: potential dispensaries must meet local zoning requirements before they could apply to ADHS. Local government around the state continues to consider the dispensary locations, but the state system is suspended until there is a decision in the courts. -
Patient resubmission form for Prop 203 is broken.
There is no way to upload corrected physician attestation form in a Prop 203 resubmission attempt. The patient is directed to change only corrected information. There is no prompt to allow for new upload of information. Only given ten days to resubmit: please help!
1 voteWhen you are having a problem with the technical side on the medical marijuana pages, please use the web chat function on the left hand side of the website. You’ll get people who are very knowledgeable about the system.
