Close these so called Marijuana Clubs down immediately!!!
First of all, what are these so called Marijuana Clubs all about. I'll tell you, its a scam to sell marijuana for $ 25.00 per gram under the disguise that members are donating the pot to the club...............and if you pay $ 25.00 to join and $ 75.00 to get in the back room you'll get 3grams of pot........That is nothing more than a drug dealing operation (at this time). And obviously, the pot these clubs are selling (donating, yeah right) must have been "acquired" illegally!!!! That's right POLICE, take notice!!!! It takes 4 months (120 days) to grow marijuana from seed????? Hello DHS!!!!The first license issued was somewhere around April 20, 2011...............Do the math! Under the best circumstances the first crop would not be ready until August 20, 2011 or so. Time to step up and shut these drug dealers down until they can prove where the pot really came from...A very concerned citizen.

The law passed by voters gives the Department limited oversight of caregivers and patients. The Attorney General’s office is looking into the legality of the clubs.
To Miguel: potential dispensaries must meet local zoning requirements before they could apply to ADHS. Local government around the state continues to consider the dispensary locations, but the state system is suspended until there is a decision in the courts.

From, the "Very concerned citizen"
Obviously, the commentees thus far are no more than ignorant unconcerned people. If you were citizens, you would not be so vocal in opposition of the LAW. Yes the law..........I'm not concerned about the mere nature of a certified "compassion club"....If you know anything about the actual cultivation process associated with marijuana and were knowledgable of simple "math" you would understand what my email was all about. Again in my 62 years on this planet I've come to always consider the source for which uninformed comments come. As a big fan of Ron White, one comment he made famous is "you can't fix stupid" So in response to all that simply don't understand or to those that simply wish to bury their heads in the sand(your *** is sticking up when you do that.) Pray that one of these illegal clubs don't pop up in your neighborhood... -

Oh please! You know perfectly well that Compassion Clubs are legal under the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. It’s called Patient-to-Patient transfer of the medicine and every state with MMJ is doing some form of a compassion club. Just give “the Google” a quick search under the words “World Famous Oregon Cannabis Cafe” and you have your answer. In fact patients (remember them Mr. Humble?) have the right to safe access to their medicine and with the dispensaries in moratorium for the next few years while litigation swirls around, the Compassion Clubs are providing a service that is outlined in AMMA. I live in Tucson and our zoning allows for Co-ops to form and utilize space for cultivation and this has been in place since February, 2011.
Stop wasting our taxpayer dollars on making life miserable for our patients. You collected over $700,000 from seriously ill patients and now you want to harass us with more legal entanglements.

Oh jeez another uninformed citizen shouting down the moon over a subject they know nothing about. Read the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act which allows compassion clubs to exist where patients can safely access their medicine. I know this is hard to comprehend for the average low information citizen but AMMA applies to everyone even law enforcement. It is the law of the land and even our governor has not said one peep about the patients having safe access to their medicine. Get a clue "very concerned citizen" and by the way it's cannabis not pot, your prejudice against legal medical marijuana is showing as well as your ignorance. For the record legal patients had their cards issued as early as April 14th and with auto-flowering strains available you can have a crop ready in 60 days so anything available as of July 4, 2011 (when the first club opened their doors) the strains available are legal and allowed under AMMA.

You obviously don't know the AMMA which allows for Compassion Clubs and your ignorance about Cannabis is also apparent. Do a little research and you will find that the very first cards were issued on April 14 (I happen to have one of those) and medical marijuana can be grown in 60 days with the auto-flowering varieties available to all growers (100% legal) so crops that came to fruition in June are homegrown and ready to be distributed to patients. The Compassion Club you are referring to did not open their doors until July 4 and they worked very closely with their local police department who are following the law and allowing them to help patients have safe access to their medicine. Ignorance is no excuse here and next time do your due diligence and read the law and stop with your uninformed and ignorant attitude towards legal medical marijuana.
