The AZ Department of Health should urgently reply to an article on Lyme diease in the 6/29/24 edition of the Arizona Republic. Unless there is new information, to my knowledge there have been no cases of Lyme that originated in Arizona ever recorded. The article implies otherwise and may precipitate many misdiagnoses and therapeutic misadventures. It may be mentioned that the vector tick species does not survive here.
