specific guidance for chiropractors and other care providers
Hi. Today is April 14, 2020, and I've visited 2 chiropractors over the past 10 days for needed assistance. Neither of those chiropractors are practicing any type of enhanced sanitary practices, such as washing or sanitizing hands between patients, wearing masks of any sort, encouraging social distancing between patients, or sanitizing the tables and equipment used during their services. The governor's executive order states for all essential businesses to "implement...sanitation measures established by the US Dept of Labor or the AZ Dept of Health Services". I've searched the websites of both of these organizations and cannot find any sanitation measures specifically addressing services where intimate contact is required as part of the service that may not usually include medical facility type practices of washing hands between every patient. It seems that these more specific measures should be stated and be readily available to help create a sense of accountability as well as guide both the practitioners as well as the patients. Thank you.
