Applications for Access to the Medical Marijuana Fund.
There should be an application for Access to the Medical Marijuana Fund for Low-Income, disabled vet's, elderly on a fixed income, the disabled with special needs etc... There should be a way for the fund to be accessed so eligible patents with financial difficulty's could apply for and enter the program at $0.00 out of pocket cost.. yes, I mean pay the Dr. and cover MMP application fee.
The money people pay to obtain cards from the state – qualifying patient and designated caregivers – goes to pay to run the program. There was a provision in the law for people to donate, however, ADHS has received no donations at this time.

I totally agree!!! It's expensive enough to grow/accuire the meds, then we are taxed 100.00-250.00 by the Dr's and another 75-150 by the state and THEN if we need a caregiver, another 200.00. I only get 674.00 per month! As you can see, this can cost me 1/2 a months income or more, per year. Why can't we get our actual access/medicare/medicade/VA Dr's to write the recomendation? Who know's us better? Also, it costs me about 250.00 each month for the electricity to grow my meds, yes that is almost half my monthly income. How can we get relief from this? Even if there were dispensaries, I wouldn't be able to purchase my meds, as they are too expensive and not covered by access. This is discrimination to the poor and underprivilaged in Arizona. I have quit using narcotics to treat my pain, since I recieved my card. Now I only use Medical Marijuana to control it, saving Access, a lot of money, but costing me a lot instead. We need to try and address this situation as soon as possible and help the needy recieve the meds we need.
