You should report the number of hospitalizations and deaths in those hospitals.
There are a number of hospitals that do a better job of taking care of their patients. Those hospitals should be rewarded by being identified through reporting on the number of Covid-19 hospitalizations, recoveries, intubations and deaths. Hospitals that under perform should be identifiable to the general public so that patients can make informed decisions about where they go and those under performing locations can make improvements instead of using the old standard "we're doing the best we can" so that they continue to do things in a manner that is less successful than other locations. For example I suspect that out of the 218 deaths in Pima County a large number of these occurred during hospitalization. If I divide the number of deaths by the number of hospitalizations the fatality rate is 40% which is much higher than Maricopa County if the assumption that deaths are taking place in hospitals and not elsewhere is correct. But I can't know if this is true because the State of Arizona intentionally does not present the statistics in this way. Since Banner in Tucson has the vast majority of beds in Tucson it looks like Banner has a 40% mortality rate for Covid-19 patients. Banner in Maricopa County it would naturally follow looks like it has a much lower mortality rate. These institutions are owned and managed by the same entity so why should there be a several fold difference? It would help to know using facts that are location specific so that improvements can be made at under performing locations. You can't fix it if your just covering up the problem.
