I think the best real time indicator of the extent of the illness can be found at: https://www.azdhs.gov/preparedness/epidemiology-disease-control/infectious-disease-epidemiology/covid-19/dashboards/index.php which shows how many people are going to emergency rooms who are diagnosed as having covid or presumed to have it. No problems with lag times (as with tests), no problems with number of tests. A clear number showing the number of people so worried about having covid that they go to an emergency room. Those numbers have been dropping. I like to compare that number to the number of people with covid who are being discharged (another chart over time under the same general icon as the ED numbers), because I assume the people at the emergency room are potentially going to be hospitalized. I think the # discharged is also a real time number. I just wish these numbers were also available by county, not just a single statewide number.

Isn't that information provided on the ADHS website at https://www.azdhs.gov/preparedness/epidemiology-disease-control/infectious-disease-epidemiology/covid-19/dashboards/index.php? Would be great if that were provided by county as well.
