Regulations for those around MMJ dispensaries
Regulations for families that want to have the air quality tested in their homes near these caregivers and dispensaries. Who to call when you see greenhouses being built and not enough electrical support to them which in turns causes an explosion and fire less then 10 feet from my child. I read your website protecting the MMJ people but is there any support for those being affected negatively who do no use MMJ? We should have rights, our children should have rights.
3 votesDispensaries will have to comply with local zoning rules – you should see what regulations your city or county has in place.

tell us where we can move
outside the 25 mile rule
1 voteThe 25-mile rule was set by the voters. The actual boundaries will be determined by where the licensed dispensaries are operating. At this time, there is no public information about that.

Arizona medical marijuana rules?
All I would like to know is why is it that the clubs that are open (CareGiver clubs, patient to patient clubs) have to stop when dispensary open? When in the rules. Qp30: wher can I legally obtain marijuana if I'm a qualifying patient qualifying patients can obtain medical marijuana from a dispensary ,the qualifying patients designated CareGiver, another qualifying patient or From home cultivation why do these rules change? ......when us people in pain have to give up a rights to grow just to a dispensary opening up and you guys say you don't want to go against the…
9 votesIt woud take another vote of the public to change the law for the 25 miles. ADHS does not have any control over that. As far as the clubs you mention, they are not addressed in the law.
The law only addresses qualifying patients, designated caregivers, dispensary agents and non-profit, medical marijuana dispensaries. http://www.azleg.gov/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/36/02801.htm&Title=36&DocType=ARS

Include PTSD and Social Anxiety to list of Medical Marijuana patients
Medical Marijuana is being proved to be much safer than other pharmaceuticals in treating these issues.
3 votesIt’s important that people who have scientific information about the viability of marijuana as a medicine provide it to the Department. We have a form set up to make it easy http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VFSKND7
Posting anecdotal infomration in the form or on this forum will not impact the department’s decision. -

control cost and difficulty in renewing MMC
Initially it cost $300 to get my MMC, $150 DR and $150 state registration. To renew my card it will cost the same because I need to go through DR verification again. I have severe, chronic back, neck pain and chronic headache. This has been a 12 yr problem which had me on Morphine, Methadone and Oxycontin. Thanks to MM I was able to quit all narcotic medication by using marijuana. I am a disabled vet and my VA DR can't write my referral for marijuana but can prescribe any narcotic which makes no sense to me. Now I need…
1 voteThanks for sharing your story. At this point we don’t have the ability to change the fee schedule, but infomration like this will be used when we are able to make changes.

I think they should hurry up with the sending out of cards my card has still not been sent to me.
I feel i was scammed out of a 150 by the azhds cuz i still havent recieved my card. what they should do is keep better documentation of the new cards being distributed for the new purchasers with the right paper work.
1 voteIf you have a question about the status of an application, the best way to get help is to use the Live Support button that is on all the medical marijuana pages on azdhs.gov.

Question: Unable to attain a letter from the local governing body
How will AZDHS handle CHAAs where the city or country refuse to sign a letter stating that the location qualifies. This refusal which is currently the case in several locations is driven by the fear that Jan Brewer's lawsuit instilled in various governing bodies.

Patients with a permanent disability should not have to pay yearly fees to the state or doctor's offices.
Change it to every five or more.
4 votesThank you for your feedback. Right now, we are not considering any changes to the fees on the state level. ADHS does not have any connection with what a physician charges.

I think they should do away with the 25 mile rule as alot of patients on low income can not afford dispenseries prices.
Patients on low or fixed income should have the option of growing their own because we can not afford dispenserie prices or the price of gas. I think they should do away with the 25 mile rule.
8 votesThe 25-mile law was part of what the voters passed in 2010. It is not something ADHS can waive or change. It would take another voter initiative.
