There needs to be verified training for all staff on both physical and mental illness goes together. A person is a whole person.
Training could be given by consumers as well as developed by them. Training could encompass hearing, speech, developmental disabilities, mobility issues as well as learning. Perhaps having staff experience different disabilities. ADA seems to be forgotten.
