Previous format and organization of CoB/DoD records presented an essential overview of related names which enabled the viewer to research uncertain relationships, correlate historic facts, and spontaneously identify related records. This new system is like searching for "a needle in a haystack" where the specific names and relationships need to be known. This is not an improvement for genealogical research. To the contrary, it makes it almost impossible to discover related records through association and inference. I have been using the az.gov-Arizona Genealogy website for many years and find this a gravely mistaken "improvement". Sadly it has rendered these records difficult to use and user-unfriendly. This especially applies to the older records and those of Mexican background where spelling is irregular and much vital data missing. These are the records of my 2nd-4th generation ancestors that I no longer can find. At a minimum, the old system should remain available for those of us who value and need it.

I need to get a genealogical copy of my mother's death certificate(as required for application into Daughter's of the American Revolution and Daughter's of the Confederacy). In these days of identity theft, I am not comfortable in mailing protected personal information (i.e. copy of my driver's license and birth certificate. PPI, most states and companies go to great measures to protect such data.
I was told I didn't have to mail the documents if I had your form notarized, which I did. My driver's license and birth certificate was presented and verified by the notary.

I receive a letter from your dept stating the request was denied because I didn't include documents. What is the purpose of having your form notarized, if I have to include the documents anyway(other than cost me unnecessary time and money). You are concerned about my dead family members information, but not concerned with protecting the personal information of a living person?

Also, why is that ordering through vitalcheck does not require any such documentation?

When I called back today, then I was also told I couldn't get a copy of genealogical DC because my mother needed to be dead 50 years. Your requirements states "A person who is a family member, including a niece or nephew, of a registrant, who is conducting research for genealogical purposes may request a noncertified copy of the registrant’s death certificate" Immediate/close family members would ineligible as they will most likely be dead by then as well.

I have never seen such requirements for a public record.

There is nothing in my mother's estate or liabilities that requires a certified copy of a DC. All that is needed is proof of relationship for membership into genealogical societies.

President Trump was in close contact with people in NJ when he knew he had been in contact with Hope Hicks who had close contact with him and had tested positive for COVID. As he was having mild symptoms himself after contact with Ms. Hicks, and failed to isolate after contact with Hope Hicks he has committed reckless endangerment of people on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Isn't contact tracing about accountability? If NJ knew the circumstances of President Trump's visit, would he have been prevented from holding the events? Would he or anyone else in similar circumstances be prevented from holding events in Arizona? Death certificates, should anyone die from superspreader events, should bring clarity to the index transmission point for legal recourse.
